Full Renewables Install
We at EcoFuture are proud to have worked with Peterlee and Horden Rugby Club on such a varied and exciting install! We have provided the club with a full renewables package made up of a multitude of renewable technologies all working in tandem.
A solar system consisting of 82x 440 Watt Aiko all black solar panels were installed with a GivEnergy Stackable battery (6 units) and Hybrid inverter.
For the heating side of the project we installed 3x Vaillant 12kw aroTHERM Plus Air Source Heat Pumps and upgraded their 2 plant rooms with 2x Vaillant 500L hot water cylinders and a 300L cylinder.
The club is now seeing (and benefiting) from the results of these upgrades, as they can now generate and store their own free energy directly from the sun. The Vaillant heat pumps will also generate more than enough energy to accommodate their heating and hot water needs throughout the property.

About this Peterlee install
Maximum Efficiency
The project was broken into two sections, electrical and mechanical which had some overlap when fitting the technologies.
The electrical side of the installation consists of 82x 440 Watt Aiko all black solar panels, which were installed using an on-roof mounting system with bird guard protection as standard. These solar panels were fitted across two of the roof elevations of the Rugby Club. We paired these panels with a GivEnergy Stackable Battery that was made up of 6 units, along with a GivEnergy Hybrid Inverter.
The mechanical side of the installation was made up of a beefy 3x Vaillant 12kw aroTHERM Plus Air Source Heat Pump system, with full radiator upgrades throughout the property. We also fully upgraded their 2 plantrooms with 2x Vaillant 500L and 1x 300L hot water cylinders!
With this full renewables package installed, the Rugby Club will save up to 18.9 tonnes of co2 annually. The multi heat pump install will also generate more than enough energy to accommodate their heating and hot water needs!

Our Peterlee based client went for a full renewables package which included 2 whole new plant rooms, radiator upgrades and 3x Vaillant Heat Pumps.
The updated plant rooms and radiator upgrades will guarantee a smoother and more efficient heating system across the property, and the Vaillant 12kw Air source heat Pumps will generate more than enough energy to accommodate their heating and hot water needs.
The solar panel array means they can now generate clean and free energy directly from the sun, even on dull days! The GivEnergy battery storage system also means they have the option to store that energy for later use rather than selling it back to the grid. This means the Rugby Club is less dependant on the grid and will not suffer from power cuts.

How did we install this system?
We began the project with the Solar PV and started erecting the scaffolding to gain access to the clubs roof space. The scaffolding was constructed quickly and efficiently whilst being mindful of entry ways.
The solar pv was fitted without issue, along with bird guard. The GivEnergy Stackable Battery and Hybrid Inverter was installed straight after the panels and connected to the rest of the system.
While the electrical side of the project was underway our mechanical team worked on the heating system. We fitted 3x 12kw aroTHERM Plus units at the side of the property. We then started updating the two existing plant rooms and fitting new radiators through the property.
With this being a commercial property it was important for our team to plan the installation, ensuring heating and hot water facilities were uninterrupted as much as possible.
