Darlington - Solar PV, EV Charging

Our Darlington based client was looking to make upgrades for their property so they could be less reliant on the grid, and also lower their carbon footprint in the process.
They reached out to EcoFuture where we provided them with a full electrical package that includes; 7x 440 Watt Jinko all black solar panels, 7x Enphase micro inverters, a GivEnergy All-In-One Battery storage system (with whole home back up), as well as a GivEnergy 7kw EV charger for their electric car.
They will now see a reduction in their co2 usage which is all thanks to their new solar pv system! The panels which are installed across two elevations of the property will generate free, clean energy all from the sun, which in turn will be stored in their battery. They will also have the option to charge their electric vehicle using this very same green energy, or use it for later use during power outages.

About this system design
Maximum Efficiency
We started the project by erecting the scaffolding and gaining access to the clients West and South facing roof elevations. This is where we began installing their new Solar PV system which was fitted using a Clenergy On-roof mounting system.
The 7x 440 Watt All black Jinko solar panels were fitted both portrait and landscape to maximise roof space, and were installed with bird guard mesh as standard. As well as the solar pv we also installed 7x Enphase micro inverters behind each panel. The micro inverters will convert the direct current (DC) into usable alternating current (AC) power for their home, and also allow each panel to operate independently than traditional systems.
While the solar panels were being installed we also went to work fitting the battery storage system. Our client opted for a GivEnergy All-In-One for it’s high capacity feature and 100% depth of discharge. The All-In-One is also future proof with the ability to connect up to 6 units and increase capacity up to 80kwh! After the battery was fitted it was only a matter of installing the matching GivEnergy 7kw EV Charger!
Our client can now generate their own free, clean energy directly from the sun, which can be stored for emergencies in their battery system. Their electric vehicle can also be charged using the very same energy which significantly reduces their co2 usage!

Our client opted for 7x 440 Watt Solar panels which utilised their roof space perfectly and maximised what they could generate in terms of solar energy. The Enphase micro inverters installed behind each panel also maximises solar gain by allowing each panel to act independently and minimising any drops due to shade.
The GivEnergy All-In-One battery storage system and GivGateway can provide seamless and uninterruptible power to their entire home in the event of a grid outage, with the Gateway allowing Solar panels to keep generating energy during a power cut.
The GivEnergy EV Charger will also allow our client to charge their vehicle directly from the solar panels. This feature will not only significantly reduce their carbon footprint, but lower their energy bills as well!

How did we install this system?
The first stage of the project was erecting the scaffolding to gain access to the roof space. This was completed quickly, efficiently and without causing any disruption to the clients day-to-day life. The solar PV was installed as an on-roof system which was also fitted without any issues, and same goes for the micro inverters which were installed at the same time.
Since the All-In-One battery and GiveGateway were installed outside, this also did not cause any disruption to the homeowner. After the battery was installed we also fitted a glass canopy above the system at the request of the homeowner as well as install the GivEnergy EV Charger.
When everything was completed we finished the project with a full handover and commission of the system with the customer.
